Ahora ( Now), im going to teach u how to tell the time.


when it is not 1 o'clock or 1 and xx minutes , we say " Son las ...."

for example:

*Son las 2 y 20 pm or Son las 2 :20 it is 2 :20 pm
*Son las 12 am or 12 pm It is 12 o'clock
*Son las 12 y 47 am or pm It is 12 : 47 am or pm

U can also WRITE just "Son las hour:minutes " obvious :D

* Son las 3 :50 it is 3:50

*NEVER "Son las 1 " or "Son la 1 "

When it is 1 and xx minutes we say : " Es la una y xx (minutos*)"........ minutos is optional.

if u dont know the name of numbers in spanish ,u can use just the numbers.

*Es la 1 y 45
* Es la 1 (en punto).
* Es la 1 y 30
*Es la 1 y 5.
*etc

Soy Peter , Soy de Peru. Tengo 20 años.
Hoy( today) I will teach you some verbs , because verbs are very important
but Im going to teach u "I LIKE TO" , u can use it to talk about your likes and dislikes.


I like to (verb) = Me gusta...

I like noun is kind of difficult to explain.


So i will only teach u " I like to verb "


here some verbs u can use with "like"

* To study = estudiar

* To Sleep = dormir






* To play = jugar




* To sing = cantar



* To go out = salir
* To talk = conversar , hablar


* To see = ver, mirar
* To watch = ver,mirar
* To look = ver, mirar



* To eat = comer
* To learn = aprender


*to run = correr






so.... i like to eat = me gusta comer
I like to eat ....... = me gusta comer ....

Lesson 8: I am part 1.1 I am 20 years old!!

hello I am 20 is not Soy 20 , no no no :p

In spanish, we say " Tengo ( age ) años"

for example:

I am 9 years old. Tengo 9 años.
I am 9. Tengo 9 años.

how to ask " how old are you?"

in this case, dont try to translate. in spanish we say

*Qué edad tienes?
* Cuantos años tienes?



try to use them so that u can remember them

Lesson 7 : Bye, see you , take care,

when it is time to say bye we say


Bye = "Chau" or " Chao" or Adios.

see you ! = hasta luego

Take care ! = cuidate!

* who you are.

I am Peter = Soy Peter




*Your profession

I am a doctor = Soy doctor - Soy doctorA ( man- woman)



* Appearance or personality

I am tall = Soy alto - Soy altA ( man- woman)
I am shy = Soy timido - Soy timidA ( man- woman)

alta = tall(woman)
extrovertida = outgoing
bonita = pretty

if u want to say " im not .." just add No at the begining of the sentece

No soy alta .

* Your nationality

I am american = Soy americano- Soy americanA. ( man- woman)

allmost all the "male words" end in O
AND "female words" end in A
male: alto. female : alta , male= brazileño female = brazileña. see? :D


* where u are from

I am from Peru = Soy de Peru

when someone ask "Como estas?"

we answer " BIEN" it means fine!

and thanks is Gracias!

we say " COMO ESTAS?"



-How = como

- are you = estas*

* dont learn this now. what u have to learn now is How= como :)

Lesson 2 : Nice to meet you

When you meet someone you say " it's nice to meet you"

in spanish we say " Mucho gusto"

do not try to translate "it's nice to meet you"

but if u want to know how it would be :

well.. it would be : " es un placer conocerte "

i guess Mucho gusto is easier to remember. :D
